Security Officer - Hospital Emergency Response

As a Security Officer Hospital Emergency Response in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide compassionate customer service and clear communication to patients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
