Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Procurement to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, with background in and professional knowledge of security, data privacy, risk management, and compliance, particularly in the context of SaaS businesses. They will be responsible for managing and developing procurement strategies, procedures, and workflows to optimize the end-to-end procure-to-pay process. Further, they will play a key role in supplier selection, contract negotiation, and driving value for the company while ensuring compliance and process rigor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
- Oversee the procurement process from supplier selection to contract negotiation and finalization, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and risk management requirements.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new procurement tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their procurement needs and develop customized strategies to meet their requirements.
- Create, manage, and lead the Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement documents, guiding business units in selecting the best approach and terms for their purchases.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best value for the company while maintaining flexibility for future renewals.
- Represent stakeholders in the review of commercial terms in vendor contracts.
- Develop and maintain a robust renewal follow-up process to minimize unnecessary renewals and ensure timely contract termination when necessary.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage procurement budgets effectively and design metrics to measure savings and efficiency gains.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to procurement, security, and compliance, and incorporate them into procurement strategies and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong background in SaaS and technology procurement.
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, risk management, and compliance requirements, particularly FedRAMP and other relevant standards.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing procurement strategies and procedures that drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Experience in selecting and implementing procurement tools and systems, with a focus on end-to-end procure-to-pay workflows.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
