HybridWhat you will do
The Lab of the Future program is a cross-functional initiative involving Quality Laboratories, Tech & Data, and R&D, aimed at transforming our QC labs into efficient, effective, and consistent "businesses within our business" to enhance site delivery. The Lab of the Future Program Leader is responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex laboratory processes and strategic multidisciplinary capital projects, while mentoring and coaching team members in various technical capabilities and collaborating with regional and global subject matter experts. Essential objectives include developing and communicating a compelling vision aligned with organizational goals, executing strategic plans to enhance lab efficiency and effectiveness, facilitating collaboration among Quality Laboratories, Tech & Data, and R&D teams for integrated efforts, and driving cultural and operational changes to transform labs into high-performing business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate strategic direction and objectives for the program.
- Lead and oversee large, complex projects globally, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align initiatives with the organization’s vision and mission.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather insights and foster collaboration.
- Host and lead steering committees, communicating progress and challenges to senior management.
- Monitor program schedules, resources, and quality, making data-driven decisions.
- Track financial spend and value realization, ensuring budget adherence.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams for transparency and oversight of program goals.
- Provide advanced mentorship and guidance to team members for professional growth.
- Influence company-wide initiatives through strategic program execution.
- Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the program team.
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in program management, demonstrating a track record of successful leadership, some knowledge of QC laboratories
- University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a relevant field
- Proven ability to think creatively and strategically, with a strong focus on business case creation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead, influence, and collaborate with diverse teams
- Proven track record of delivering complex, global programs across multiple functional areas, driving change management initiatives, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of process flow optimization
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in leading and managing complex laboratory processes and multidisciplinary capital projects
- Experience in mentoring and coaching team members, and building partnerships for support of strategies
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and drive results in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and GMP
