Medical Data Entry Specialist (ZR_24489_JOB)

This is a remote position.

• 40 hours per week
  
• Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM CT, 1 hour unpaid break
  

• Accurately input and/or delete patient demographic and medical data into the clinic’s electronic health records (EHR) system.
  
• Update and maintain patient files, ensuring all information is current and complete.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  
• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  
• Perform routine data audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  
• Assist in generating reports and statistics as requested by management.
  
• Perform other administrative duties as required to support clinic operations.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in medical administration or data entry preferred.
  
• Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
  
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or other clinic software is a plus.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data.
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
