Summary

Phoenix-based SRP is recruiting for an intern in Power Generation Engineering. This intern will support engineering services to enable SRP to achieve its goals and objectives for providing water and energy to their customers.

 

You will work on a team with Engineers who will provide mentoring and guidance.

What You'll Do

The position will be expected to: 

 

  • Work closely with engineering teams to provide support on various projects
  • Participate in and provide feedback for other projects at SRP as a representative of Generation Engineering
  • Work independently and in a team 
  • Assist in writing reports, memos and presentations to distribute to team members and management
  • Participate periodically in site visits and relevant training

Experience

Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 

 

  • Have a basic understanding of utility scale power system and/or power generation 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel  

Education

Need to be currently enrolled in an accredited institution with a minimum of 6 credit hours.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
