About Fieldin
Founded in 2013, we are a fast-growing AgTech company with presence in California, Washington, Oregon, the Mid-West, and Australia. We are looking to expand our team to meet the needs of today’s high-value crop market. Our award-winning Smart Farm platform helps growers manage and optimize pesticide applications, harvest activities and other critical field operations. Using our proprietary sensors and mobile-friendly software, Fieldin’s technology seamlessly connects tractors and other machinery to provide managers with actionable data that improves production, transparency, and efficiency in the field.
Job Summary
The Field Technician is responsible for all aspects of Fieldin’s system installation and field service in their area. This includes system installation and configuration and servicing units with direct client interaction while being compliant with OSHA and industry standards. The Field Technician will report to the Field Service Supervisor, and work with peer technicians and the back-office support team.
You are passionate about making a positive impact in agriculture and assisting the adoption of smart technology in their field operations. You are a self-starter and eager to find ways to support customers with an emphasis on creating great customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate fully with members of the Service and Support teams as well as other interfacing teams in the company
- Follow and participate in directives & product updates
- Carry out quality control of work performed in the region
- Manage equipment stock and vehicle organization
- Conduct site surveys & engagements with clients
- Accurately catalog customers’ equipment, cross-referencing Fieldin’s agreement equipment list
- Professionally communicate with customers and provide information as agreed upon with Sales Rep, account manager, and Field Service Supervisor
- Take part in designing solutions and standardizing technical activities
- Create, implement, and maintain best practices
- Contribute expertise with product installations and services
- Adhere to and oversee compliance with safety and quality standards
- Install Fieldin’s systems on customers’ farming equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and solve hardware malfunctions
- Assemble and prepare hardware for installation, manage inventory
- Ensure all installations are up to company and industry standards within FieldIn protocols
- Document and report information as required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Mechanical experience with high technical skills
- Agriculture machinery background preferred
- Able to lift greater than 60lbs
- Experience with automotive electronics; wire soldering, 12V devices
- Self-motivated and a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel domestically (up to ~ 25% of the time)
- Ability to work well with remote staff
- Spanish-speaking a plus
