We deliver fully integrated Program management solutions to both public and private sector clients, including serving as the prime contractor for several public sector clients.
About the Role
The Asset/Move Coordinator I supports the Relocation Project Management (RPM) team across multiple Los Angeles Community College District campuses. This role is responsible for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) coordination and move management services for new construction, renovation, and swing-space projects.
You will assist with procurement, scheduling, installation oversight, move coordination, and close-out activities to ensure smooth transitions and fully functional facilities for students, faculty, and staff.
*Salary Range: $85K/Year-$100K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Support FF&E selection, procurement, installation, and move/relocation activities.
- Assist with procurement and purchasing using best-value and/or low-bid public contracting.
- Track budgets and schedules for FF&E and move activities.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and user groups to prepare office layouts and relocation plans.
- Coordinate with vendors/movers to fill equipment and furniture needs and resolve gaps.
- Oversee onsite FF&E installations, punch-list close-out, and transition activities.
- Prepare detailed scopes of work for movers and specialty contractors.
- Coordinate access, deliveries, tagging, and disposition with Facility Directors, CPDs, and Asset Management.
- Maintain accurate records (purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, shipping documents, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 4+ years of experience in Interior Design, Construction, Engineering, Facilities, Moves/Relocations, or FF&E coordination/procurement.
- Ability to read architectural and furniture drawings.
- Knowledge of furniture/equipment specifications and procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases).
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work onsite at multiple campuses; flexibility with schedule and transportation.
- High attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction/Project Management, or Facilities Management.
- Procurement, sourcing, or asset management experience.
- Public Works experience.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- Professional certifications/memberships (CID, IIDA, AIA, IFMA, LEED).
