Adventist HealthCare is hiring a Registered Radiology Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging Services in Rockville, MD.
Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (*Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire and experienced Registered Radiology Tech for our Outpatient Imaging who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Radiologic Technologist you will:
• Properly identifies patients, reviews orders and selects diagnostic x-ray protocol in order to maximize quality and safe patient care.
• Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems applicable to diagnostic x-ray (HIS, RIS, PACS, Envision).
• Be knowledgeable and practice ALARA principles including proper shielding of patients.
• Understand types, amount and administration of various contrast media and be able to react in response to adverse contrast reactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Performs “front desk” responsibilities as required to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain schedule with a flexible attitude to accommodate variable volume.
• Assist in orienting new employees, and training radiography students.
• Participates in PI projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
• High school or GED
• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT Accredited school of Radiography
• ARRT (RT)
• State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• 2 years radiography experience preferred
• Strong customer service & critical thinking skills
• Actions and attitudes support Adventist HealthCare’s mission and RISES values.
• Effective verbal and written skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience

Work Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 4:30PM

Pay Range:

$32.17 - $48.25

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)
