OPS RN (WW) Weekend Warrior positions available at the rate of $33.99/hour. The eligible shifts are weekdays Monday to Friday, 3PM to 11PM, 11PM to 7AM,

and all shifts that fall on a weekend – Saturday and Sunday. You must work at least one weekend shift per pay period.

Direct care Registered Nurse applicants that have not been employed by the FDVA in the last 12 months may be eligible for a $3,500.00 sign-on bonus. Restrictions apply.  OPS and non-direct care positions are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes and Domiciliary are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program.

• From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4,000.00 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
• Payment is made at the end of each 12 month enrollment period and made directly to the participant’s lender.
• Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or possession of a graduate nurse letter from the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Knowledgeable in the use of computers to include Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills‎.
• Current CPR certification‎.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays as required‎.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; writing, reading, speaking and understanding.
• Successful completion of a level II background screening to include, but not limited to a drug test and finger printing.
