We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just write code—but crafts experiences. As a Senior Unreal Developer at Beyond Sports, you’ll help bring real-world sports data to life in powerful, interactive ways that wow fans and clients alike.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Craft clean, efficient, and well-documented solutions that can power multiple projects across teams

• Architect and maintain a modular codebase that’s built to scale—plug-and-play is the name of the game

• Collaborate with top-tier devs, artists, and data engineers to ship high-performance, high-visual-impact experiences

• Guide and mentor other devs, sharing your expertise and helping raise the team’s game

• Stay sharp on industry trends—Unreal tools, middleware, platform capabilities—and evaluate them for real-world integration

• Experiment with plug-ins, new techniques, and tools to continually evolve our tech stack

• Contribute to a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence

CAPABILITIES

• Advanced proficiency in C++ with deep understanding of Unreal Engine's (UE5) coding standards and architecture.

• Experience working with Blueprints and integrating them effectively with C++ systems.

• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine subsystems such as Actors, Components, Pawns, GameMode, Input System (Enhanced Input preferred), Rendering and Materials.

• Experience profiling and optimising C++ code and memory usage.

• Experience optimising game performance in Unreal (e.g., profiling with Unreal Insights, stat commands, memory and CPU optimisation).

• Experience with packaging and deploying for at least one platform (e.g., PC, console, mobile, VR).

• Experience with Unreal Plugins and Modules (Usage and Development).

• Strong understanding of game development principles and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• You are living in the Netherlands

• You are allowed to work in the EU

• Available 32- 40 hours per week at the office in Alkmaar
