Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Aircraft Technician A (Mechanical) to join our New Helicopter Completions team based in Columbus, MS.
You will be part of the team to assist in various mechanical tasks including: engine and gearbox installs, flight control installs, and basic airframe assembly as well as day-to-day operations and organization.

Your working environment:
On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Your challenges:
Assist in Aircraft Assembly: 80%
Read and interpret drawings, workbooks, and other technical data
Prep aircraft and components for assembly
Assemble prepped aircraft and components
Clean area and components after assembly
Support functions: 20%
Assist the department with consumables management
Assist the department with PPE management
All other duties assigned by the Manager
Your boarding pass:
Minimum of four years related experience; some experience may be substituted for education normally acquired in the attainment of an A & P license or a degree.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams and technical instructions
Must be able to move about in cramped and awkward positions to perform tasks.
Must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts
Must be able to handle heavy components and work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: 90% Onsite
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings between 6-8 hours per day.
