Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Integrated Operating Unit offers devices and therapies that treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms and heart failure.
We are comprised of three businesses:
• Cardiac Pacing Therapies
• Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services
• And Defibrillation Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Data Analyst to support the Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Management Medical Affairs team. This role will connect fragmented and manual data sources (e.g., Salesforce, SmartSheets, CVENT registrations, Concur spend, excel spreadsheets, etc.) into trusted, automated data that supports planning, analysis, resource allocation, strategy, and impact measurement. The Data Analyst will build and scale reporting, KPI (Key performance Indicator) dashboards, and analytical insights across Medical Affairs functions (Physician Relations, Program Operations, Grants, Evidence, Medical Education, and Society Relations). This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional with excellent data analyst skills and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities. The Data Analyst will play a critical role in transforming our data into a unified, reliable, and insight driven ecosystem that supports high visibility programs including Advisory Boards, consulting, medical education, congresses, Health Care Professional (HCP) identification, business insights, assessing program impact and physician profiling.
This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) unit. At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We are working on-site 4 days per week as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This role will require less than 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

A Day in the Life
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Senior Business Process Improvement Analyst role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPI logic, consistent criteria, and metric definitions.
- Integrate and model data from multiple systems (e.g., Salesforce, Smartsheet, TeamUp, CVENT, Expense, SharePoint, Excel) with secure, maintainable connections.
- Build and maintain automated dashboards, scalable automation and recurring reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) for program status, engagement, spending, and impact.
- Establish data governance (quality checks, master identifiers such as NPI, documentation, and repeatable processes) to support “a single source of truth” for HCP data.
- Perform deep-dive analyses (e.g., registration patterns, spend drivers, utilization) and identify actionable trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Physician Relations, Clinical Affairs, Contracting) to align data, standards, and visibility.

- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data sciences, statistics, or computer science and minimum of 4 years of work experience in data analytics, data sciences, statistics, computer science OR advanced degree in data sciences, statistics, or computer science with 2 years
