Southwest Airlines promises to provide Employees with equal opportunity for learning and personal growth. Southwest Airlines Revenue Management (RM) maximizes revenue by analyzing Customer booking and travel behavior, forecasting demand, and optimizing Revenue by selling the right amount of seats at various price points. The Intern will work full-time as a Revenue Management Planning & Initiatives Intern, supporting various projects and partnering with other Commercial departments to ensure alignment. They'll support the current RM and Commercial objectives, Market Research, and Market Pricing Performance, and provide recommendations using tools such as QuickBase, DiioMi, and Tableau. The Intern is an organized collaborator and skilled communicator who is excited to support a variety of projects within the Planning & Initiatives Team.

Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours.

As an Intern, you can expect to:    

  • Join Southwest as a Summer 2026 Intern, with a 12-week internship lasting from May 19 – August 7, 2026. 

  • The culture of Southwest Airlines means we value the camaraderie, collaboration, and innovation that occur when we come together and interact face-to-face at our vibrant Corporate Campus. Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to work from our Dallas, TX headquarters facility during business hours.  

  • Dedicate 40 hours each week to your internship responsibilities and tasks.  

  • Receive $21-$25 per hour, corresponding with progress toward degree (students with more completed semesters may qualify for higher rates within the range). Stipends may be offered based on eligibility and program criteria. 

  • Receive free, unlimited space available travel privileges for yourself (taxes and fees may apply on international travel).  

  • Interns will be provided any required equipment, such as a laptop, for the internship.
