Network Perception was launched in 2014 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Research Park. Founded by a team of experts on network security and critical infrastructure protection, Network Perception delivers a pioneering solution that enables corporate compliance and cyber security managers to gain a complete view of their network security and to immediately determine if its configuration is in alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.

About the role

Network Perception is seeking an enthusiastic, inquisitive, and highly organized intern to assist us in evaluating our existing cybersecurity partner ecosystem. This important analysis will contribute to the prioritization of our technical and business integration efforts and help position us for long term success in the dynamic cybersecurity sector.

This is a part-time internship that is anticipated to require ~20 hours of work per week during Summer 2023.

What this role does

• Compile publicly available information (SEC filings, analyst reports, etc.) for our public company partners.
• Compile similar information from available resources for our private company partners.
• Work with leadership to develop a matrix to determine the best strategic fit with Network Perception’s current and future products ranked against several quantitative and qualitative variables.
• Summarize and present these findings to leadership at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Accounting, or Finance
• MBA candidate strongly preferred
• Previous work experience in Banking, M&A, or corporate development
• Previous experience in management consulting and / or financial analysis a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
