GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking an Inventory and Asset Technician to join our Fiscal team in Cheyenne, WY. This position manages uniform inventory and distribution for all staff in addition to administering vendor contracts and serving as the point of contact for agency fixed asset administration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.
- Distributes uniforms for 300 employees and conducts inventory management/control, physical counts, reconciliation of uniforms, approves individual uniform orders.
- Responsible for the coordination, establishment, and administration of contracts for various uniform vendors.
- Performs review and reconciliation of the Agency's internal and capital fixed asset systems including the review of asset information uploaded from the WOLFS system monthly and assigns asset tags to all internal fixed asset items.
- Performs review and reconciliation of Real Property and Intangibles.
- Conducts annual reconciliation of internal and capital fixed assets as well as maintains all internal and capital fixed asset files.
- Serves as the agency point of contact for fixed asset disposal, auction, and destruction.
- Responsible for the coordination and synchronization with agency personnel and state surplus including providing guidance to department employees regarding required paperwork and process needs.
- Ensures appropriate adjustments are accurately recorded on the agency's internal and capital fixed asset systems for disposed of items; monitors and collects revenue from the sale of surplus items.
- Processes appropriate asset disposal transactions for capital fixed assets in the WOLFS system.
- Perform duties of backup Cashier which is responsible for depositing and accounting for all incoming agency revenue (checks, cash, credit cards, EFT, and ASAP draws), receipting, balancing, coding, entering, and correcting revenue transactions.
- Perform backup duties for the Fleet Technician.
- Duplicating machine administration and headquarters office supply inventory.
Examples of duties
PREFERENCES:
Preference may be given to those with a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Skilled in written and verbal communication, including communications with department employees and vendors through phone, email and personal contact.
- Able to establish and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Skilled in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google suite and custom database applications.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and processes including internal controls, audit requirements
