JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Heart and Vascular Institute, in Hershey, PA is seeking an Assistant Professor. This NIH-funded Assistant Professor position is immediately available in the laboratory of Jian Cui PhD, to study autonomic control of circulation in health and cardiovascular diseases. The laboratory uses multidisciplinary approaches to study sympathetic and cardiovascular responses to muscle afferent inputs and neural mechanisms of the response in humans. A background in cardiovascular physiology or neurophysiology is required along with over 4 years of experiences using in vivo experimental preparations to examine the cardiovascular system. Specifically, extensive experiences on performing microneurography (e.g., human sympathetic nerve activity recording) and cardiovascular ultrasound expertise are required. Having a record of publications in the relevant field and experience in clinical research are preferred.

This is a limited-term non-tenure line position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
