As a Software Architect within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

As a Software Architect you will be supporting integrations between workday and our HR systems. You will be responsible for the following:
• Identifies and documents Integration Patterns.
• Architects efficient integration solutions for new and existing application integrations with internal and external third party applications.
• Designs and develops solutions to meet the needs of Staff Services Technology’s business partners.
• Works with the Staff Services Solution Architect and Business Architect to deliver solutions and recommendations aligned with HR’s strategic direction.
• Reviews and approves designs and recommends alternative solutions aligned the Business Strategy and Modern Engineering Practices.
• Possesses strong written and oral communication skills.

Job Description

  • Participates in defining functional designs and application systems architecture across all technologies and platforms.
  • Designs an application's technical infrastructure, such as specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches.
  • Participates in the assessment of software defects discovered during the quality assurance process.
  • Participates in addressing enterprise-wide platform and technology requirements for applications.
  • Develops detailed programming instructions to solve business problems through automation support.
