SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Marine Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business development efforts and managing complex marine construction projects. This position requires advanced technical expertise, significant experience, and a strong focus on client engagement and project delivery. The ideal candidate is adept at identifying and developing new opportunities, overseeing high-risk or critical projects, and building lasting client relationships. Additional responsibilities include supporting estimating, bidding, and proposal efforts while mentoring junior staff to enhance team capabilities' Marine Construction Project Manager position provides extensive knowledge, significant experience, and advanced technical capabilities to project management responsibilities. Capable and responsible for the oversight, management, and performance of multiple projects, projects of critical importance or with high-risk factors, complex projects, new or unfamiliar services, and new or challenging client relationships. May direct, supervise, train, or mentor other project managers and engineers.
This applicant must reside in, nearby, or be willing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah upon accepting position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring project schedules and forecasts.
- Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
- Prepares and reviews job scope and estimates.
- Completes all project management system documentation.
- Monthly project status reports, change orders, and invoices.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the diving marine construction and management aspects of projects.
- Accountable for the successful completion of projects.
- Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve client/dive and management project issues.
- Requires extensive regular contact with assigned project clients.
- Proactively identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand marine construction services and revenue streams.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic engagement.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and stakeholder discussions to promote services and expertise.

YOU WILL NEED
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Work hard, remain motivated, and a self-starter.
- Understand and follow health and safety procedures related to the work.
- Ability to balance business development efforts with effective project delivery management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Commerical dive school certificate, US Navy dive training certificate, or ADCI dive certification card.
- 5+ years of project management experience in marine construction industry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Blood Borne Pathogens, First Aid, CPR, DAN O2 Administration certifications
- Current "Fit to Dive" physical
- Valid Driver's License
- OSH 10-hr General Construction course
- Ability to travel job sites up to 40% of the time based on project and requirement.
