Job Description
The Sr. Learning & Leadership Specialist provides support for enterprise learning programs and initiatives by identifying and aligning learning needs to Nordstrom’s top business priorities. In partnership with HR and business leaders, you’ll implement learning strategy and experiences through stakeholder engagement, project planning, design & delivery, and data driven measurement of results. You’ll work across all levels of the organization, serve as a trusted partner, and operate proactively to bring priorities to life through our people-driven learning programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity, effective communication skills, be solution orientated, and have a track record of delivering successful learning & talent management solutions.
A day in the life…
Partner closely with HR and the greater talent management team to identify and align on learning needs and strategies that support business outcomes, utilizing data and feedback
Design and develop people-centric solutions, ranging from technical and skill-based to competency-based development; bringing forward scalable and sustainable learning solutions that meet the needs of diverse audiences across the enterprise.
Apply adult learning philosophies in the virtual or in-person facilitation
Actively engage in strategic planning and execution to support and enhance learning processes and systems, including the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Analyze and measure the impact of key initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovate future learning and talent management solutions.
Research and present findings on industry trends and advanced approaches to learning and talent management solutions.
Lead various projects in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and ambiguous environment with a sense of urgency and drive for results
Deliver exemplary internal customer service through strong professionalism and project ownership/management.
You own this if you have...
5+ years of experience in adult learning including a proven track record of delivering learning and/or talent management solutions that drive positive business outcomes
Experience conducting needs analysis and analyzing data, with a strong consultative approach that leads to action
Familiarity with design thinking and agile learning development techniques
Experience working in a build, buy, and curate business model including design and delivery of an end-to-end learning experience, project management with vendor partners, and consulting with business partners to curate content
Experience managing complex, broad-scoped learning projects within budget and projected timeline
Effective time management skills with ability to organize and prioritize work in response to changing business needs
Ability to collaborate effectively to build successful relationships with HR partners as well as internal and external business stakeholders
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to deliver information in a clear, and concise manner
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
Experience with Workday preferred
Retail industry knowledge preferred

This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to live within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA and to work onsite four (4) days per week.
