Regional Training Officer

The Regional Training Officer is responsible for providing professional and proactive service solutions at all levels across the organization. The role will be to manage our LMS training system, oversee our EMPOWER training system for specific locations, and ensure we are compliant and productive. The Regional Training Officer will liaise with multiple stakeholders to troubleshoot, launch, and provide training solutions to address deficiencies. The Regional Training Officer will report directly to the Director of Training and Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Update, design, and develop training and management programs to support operational strategic plans and business objectives.
- Oversee, maintain, and update effective training programs
- Administrator for the Americas EMPOWER and LMS systems.
- Design relevant content to inspire, educate, and engage our employees.
- Use proven training metrics to build training programs and complete training needs/ gap analysis.
- Be responsible for the organization's generation, compiling, maintenance, and accuracy of training statistics.
- Measure individual achievement of learning objectives, validate skill/knowledge development, and assess cultural fit.
- Model the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
- Be responsible for the management, content, and continuous improvement of the company’s LMS Systems.
- Ensure that training provides customer service that meets or exceeds Company standards and customer expectations.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including training and Ops Teams, to develop & enhance procedures and determine training opportunities in critical areas, including manpower planning, soft skills, and operational programs.
- Ensure that they work safely according to company policy and procedures.
- Report safety incidents, risks, or concerns using the Safety Management System (SMS) reporting system.
- Recognize opportunities to contribute to improving safety and its management continuously.
Qualifications
- The position will be located within 1hr. of any of our airports in the US
- Candidate will need 1-3 years of Training administration experience in one of the following lines of Business: Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, Fueling, and or M&O
- Experience leading and designing web meetings, learning management systems, and event platforms.
- Must set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
- Correct use of English / Spanish grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary
- Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. Learning Management System required.
- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Strong team management, collaboration, and facilitation skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write technical reports and correspondence.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NFPA 407, Menzies GOM, OSHA Standards, and government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Valid state driver’s license, ability to obtain required security clearances, and ability to get a driving icon/authorization from local airport authority.
- Must pass all pre-employment testing required.
- Must be able to Travel 20% of the time.
- Performs other training duties as assigned by the Director of Training and Compliance
