Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the DevOps lifecycle
- Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of DevSecOps pipelines, tools, and workflows
- Integrate feedback loops, security services, and documentation into agile development cycles
- Monitor pipeline health and ensure security compliance in alignment with DoD and NAVWAR policies
- Troubleshoot pipeline automation, container deployment, and infrastructure performance issues
- Maintain and update task templates, peer support materials, and process documentation
- Provide technical support, onboarding assistance, and training for DevSecOps tools and secure development best practices
- Analyze data from pipelines and delivery metrics to identify areas of improvement
- Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Review application artifacts for compliance, traceability, and automated deployment readiness
- Support backlog grooming and task scoping to ensure DevSecOps initiatives balance performance, risk, and cost
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting DevSecOps environments or CI/CD automation in a DoD or highly regulated setting
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, SDLC, and secure software development practices
- Experience supporting pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc.)
- Proficient in reviewing, writing, and maintaining technical documentation
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with basic Visio and intermediate Adobe Acrobat skills
- Understanding of wiki-style documentation systems, knowledge base creation, and content maintenance
- Comfortable adapting to evolving requirements and environments with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with Helm charts, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or container security best practices
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint-based development environments
- Agile and Office application certifications
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems)
- Agile training or certifications preferred
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret clearance required
- TS/SCI clearance preferred
Location: Onsite – San Diego, CA (NAVWAR)
Travel: Some travel may be required for team collaboration, customer engagement, or project support
