What You Will Do:
Working as part of a DevOps team to support multiple applications, quality assurance and operations teams in delivering products to production, monitoring and maintaining development and production environments and facilitating the feedback necessary to improve processes and engagement between teams.ÂResponsibilities:
- Supporting build, test, deployment and monitoring tools, services, and environments within a cloud hosted environment.
- Assist with software releases and infrastructure management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity.
- Maintaining and driving modernization of legacy applications, tools and systems utilizing automation tools on GCP cloud native services and Kubernetes/Openshift/GKE.
- Monitoring the applications and systems to identify, fix, and reduce potential problems within the applications, tools, and services.
What You Will Need:
- US Citizenship is require and must be able to obtain a Public Trust government clearance.
- Minimum of FOUR (4) years industry experience.
- Minimum of TWO (2) years experience as a DevOps engineer.
- Experience in a DevOps environment working with multiple teams/applications.
- Deploying and troubleshooting Java based application stacks (NGINX or Apache HTTPD, JAVA JDK, Apache Tomcat, Postgresql).
- Configuring and troubleshooting application network configuration (Reverse Proxy, TLS Certificates, DNS, load balancers, routers, firewalls).
- Developing and using application pipelines (Jenkins, Tekton, Gitlab or especially experience in Harness).
- Deploying applications to Google cloud and/or Kubernetes (OpenShift, GKE, or EKS)(YAML, ArgoCD, HELM).
- Linux (RHEL 8 and later).
- DataDog experience.
- Windows Server (2016 and greater).
- Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location.
- This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of work per week.
- Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- US equivalent Bachelor's Degree.
- Using Git Source Control (Git, GitLab, or BitBucket).
- Developing and using automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Application and infrastructure logging/monitoring(Nagios, NewRelic or Splunk).
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment.
- Experience with a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JAVA) and API usage.Â
- Team player that fully embraces DevOps culture, eliminate barriers and bridge moats.
- Federal Government Experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
