Who You Are
The Materials and Device Engineer is an integral part of the Manufacturing Sciences Organization and is responsible for supporting the production of clinical and/or commercial Viral Vector in one or more areas of Kriya’s RTP Viral Vector Manufacturing facility with support for single use materials and devices. This position will provide technical support and expertise for leading and managing materials evaluations for items used within the Kriya RTP facility. This position will also have a pivotal role technically supporting medical devices and ancillary materials that will be used in conjunction with Kriya products in the clinic (e.g. reviewing vendor documents, working on a device subteam) and ensuring consistency with device development across Kriya programs.
How You Contribute
- Subject Matter Expert within the MS&T Team for single use systems and material compatibility
- Subject Matter Expert withing the MS&T Team for device components and other ancillary materials required for clinical trials
- Provide Technical Support to the Manufacturing Organization e.g., Investigation/deviation support
- Technical liaison supporting supplier complaint process
- Design and execute phase appropriate studies to support product development and regulatory filings
- Provide technical expertise during regulatory inspections and audits as needed.
- Provide technical expertise to support supply chain and manufacturing for incoming material selection and justification
What You Bring to the Team
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science, Engineering or other related field
- 5+ years of relevant related experience or equivalent
- Experience in medical device field strongly preferred
Competencies
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented, with proven ability to foster strong relationships with other team members and stakeholders
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Work is normally performed: at a desk

- Travel requirements: Some visits to external vendors as required
