Developmental Pediatric Education Program Manager

The Coordinator Developmental Pediatric Education Program is responsible for developing and facilitating education programs, workshops, and community events for families and caregivers. In addition, this individual is responsible for reviewing Developmental Pediatric patient intake documents and evaluating the need for services.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review all completed intake documents within Developmental Pediatrics and assess the needs of referrals to determine eligibility for services.

• Provides education to patients and their families through virtual and in-person workshops and community events.

• Builds and develops curriculum for workshops and community events.  

• Responsible for managing the overall program strategically and operationally.

• Act as a liaison between the patient/family and community service agencies (i.e. schools, social service agencies, therapies, etc.).

• Responsible for establishing trusting relationships with patients and their families while providing general support and encouragement through workshops.

• Work closely with providers to help ensure that patients have comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Utilizes research to support principles of education and practice in accordance with ASQ-3.

• Exhibits competency in communicating effectively with staff and families in presenting programs and workshops.

• Other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to sit for 2-4 total hours per day. Must have the ability for touching as it relates to feeling objects by touching with the skin, particularly that of fingertips. Must have the ability for hearing as it relates to normal conversation, high frequency and low frequency hearing sounds. Must have the ability for seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in psychology, healthcare, education, or related field, required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Three years’ experience working with children and families from diverse populations required. Ages and Stages Questionnaire Trainers of Trainers (ASQ-3) certified, preferred. Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) certified, preferred. Teaching experience, preferred.
