Overview
Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking a Desktop Systems Specialist to join our innovative team with the mission of Fighting Blindness For The World To See.

Candidates must be able to travel to various clinics to meet the needs of the patients and providers, and support the Clinic hours of Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm.
Retina Consultants of Texas is the largest and most respected retina-only ophthalmology practice in the United States. Responsibilities
- Analyzes and solves computer problems, and assures technology meets the needs of the organization.
- Implements system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefit from investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes.
- Plans and designs new computer systems or devises ways to apply existing systems resources to additional operations.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system
- Identifies and acquires or contacts appropriate resources to help resolve complex problems; provides server and computer support and maintenance, correcting routine problems and/or entering specialized commands or data into systems
- Troubleshoots systems, identifies potential system errors, writes report-generation programs or other code, and documents instructions and other system information.
- Evaluates needs for new and revised systems, identifies possible improvements, and makes recommendations for the purchase of new hardware and software.
- Develops and implements security protocols and solutions to network issues, system administration problems, and application errors.
- Assist to create plans for layout and installation of new systems or modification of existing system.
- Installs, changes, and repairs minor problems of personal computer hardware and software systems, and gives technical assistance and training to system users.
- Answers client's inquiries concerning systems operation; diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems; and recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
- Interacts with physicians, management, clinical and research staff, administration staff as well as 3rd party vendors to manage the day-to-day scheduled and unscheduled computer operations and maintenance activities. Seeks to maintain stable, efficient and effective availability and operations of RCTX network resources.
