Position Summary
As a Dental Support Organization (DSO) Leader, you will lead a team of DSO recruiters who are responsible for developing partnerships and providing outstanding service to Dental Support Organization (DSO) partners. The DSO Leader will be accountable for the growth and maintenance of Guardian’s provider networks resulting from our DSO partnerships by ensuring the identification and recruitment of new national, regional, and mid-sized DSOs, which will include a partnership with Regional Network Leaders. You will review monthly dental network data to identify successes, roadblocks, or patterns and will develop and implement strategies to drive success across the national DSO market. You will lead and be accountable for the performance and results of the DSO recruiting team, which includes supporting account management activities and coordination with internal partners to retain relationships. You will develop strategies to ensure excellent service levels and, through partnership with Pricing and Actuary, assist DSO groups by identifying any outlier utilization patterns. You will participate in ad hoc projects, train new team members, and ensure resolution of raised issues. You will be responsible for DSO negotiations of complex contracts, financial reimbursement rates, and develop solutions that retain DSO partnerships while also ensuring responsible growth of Guardian’s networks.

You Will:
- Be responsible for enhancing gross adds, competitive rank, effective discount, and overall value that Guardian can bring to planholders and members through our DSO partnerships.
- Understand the market, help your team identify leads, and coordinate as necessary with Regional Network Leaders.
- Make presentations to senior-level management on the DSO market, challenges in the growth and retention of the network, and strategies developed to keep pace with the market.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the DSO onboarding and relationship management, increase satisfaction, and create efficiencies.
- Act as the leadership contact for all established DSOs when needed to resolve issues.
- Set productivity requirements for the DSO Recruiting team.
- Participate in the development of the overall Network strategy.
- Keep a pulse on industry trends to support a proactive approach to the driven environment.
- Be accountable for ensuring the team is meeting contractual and procedural turnaround times
- Act as a resource and Subject Matter Expert for the DSO Team
- Work alongside your leader to suggest new ways of working for the team to create efficiencies and maintain a best-in-class DSO organization.
You Have
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years in non-medical, ancillary benefits. Group Benefits experience preferred.
- Leadership accountability for developing and implementing internal and external reporting packages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead while adapting to changing business priorities and environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong executive presence and public speaking skills including presentation to senior leadership, as well as field partners.
- Consistent track record of exceptional performance, having delivered quantifiable impact on company revenue and profitability.
- Proven execution-oriented people leader with exceptional ability to hire and inspire teams creating high performance.
- Track record of collaborating cross functionally to solve complex business problems and navigate rapidly evolving macro trends.
Location & Travel
This is a flexible position requiring 2 days per week in office, with preference given to candidates within commuting proximity to a Guardian office.
Will consider remote candidates if experience is aligned and ability to travel to Guardian offices as determined by the People Leader.
Business travel is expected to occur 10-20% of the time. Travel to/from regional offices as needed for project work/team meetings.
