Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in both classroom and hands-on lab settings, ensuring that they gain the knowledge and skills that are required for entry-level employment in their chosen field. The Dental assistant Instructors will utilize sound educational practices towards the academic development of the program, manage their classroom and lab environments, promote a positive environment and engaging learning experience, provide support, tutoring and other assistance needed in our Dental Assisting Program.  This is a part-time professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Instruments, Dental Assisting skills, Charting, Tooth Numbering systems, and Dental specialties. courses. The typical teaching load is 6 courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
• At least three years of Clinical experience as a Dental Assistant
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
• Have the desire and ability to help students succeed in dental.
• Highly organized, motivated and results-driven
• Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
• Prior teaching experience preferred (but not necessary)
