Job Description
The primary role of the Demand Planning & S&OP Manager is to create a global demand plan, collaborate on the development of the supply plan and own and facilitate an end2end S&OP Process for the assigned product families.
Job Requirements
- All responsibilities below are for a defined list of items, i.e. a specific product family, with global geographical scope.
- Maintain a rolling forecast of demand from external customers for the full planning horizon (0 to 24 months or as per functional planning guidelines).
- Support Sales & Marketing teams of the countries in scope in estimating impact of commercial activities (promotions, launches, distribution network changes, etc.) on future demand. Challenge Sales & Marketing teams on maintaining a fact-based translation of commercial assumptions into future demand.
- Convert the signed-off demand plan into a Supply and Capacity plan for the sites in scope. Collaborate with the manufacturing and supply chain teams in the factories to create a realistic capacity outlook and embed relevant constraints into the overall supply plan.
- Lead the build-up of and facilitate the cross-functional alignment within an S&OP Process.
- Lead the maturity increase of the S&OP Process, from an initial focus on keeping expected demand and supply in balance to the subsequent integration of financial plans and tracking versus strategic objectives.
- Support the management team in escalating roadblocks and needs for additional investment towards the upper organizational layers.
- Create planning solutions autonomously in case necessary tools are not present yet in the organization.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering studies required. Master of Science preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in running both demand planning processes.
- Minimum 5 years of prior experience in building up, implementing and leading an S&OP Process.
- Exposure to and understanding of Supply Planning concepts and processes.
- Travel: less than 10%
Preferred:
- Leadership skills: see Competencies above.
- Functional skills: Expertise in Demand Planning, Supply and Capacity Planning, S&OP, Process design and deployment.
- Advanced Excel.
- PowerPoint.
- PowerBI experience and development is an asset.
- Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):
- Availability to attend calls across different time zones.
- Ability to speak and write in Korean is beneficial.
