Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production and operational activities at our Port Hueneme facility to ensure productivity, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role leads full-time and temporary staff while coordinating workflow, vehicle processing activities, reporting, and operational performance.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5–8 years of operations or production environment experience
• 4–7 years of supervisory experience
• Valid Class C Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Port operations, logistics, or vehicle processing experience
• CPR Certification
• Leadership, HAZMAT, and Harassment Prevention training
Skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and labor practices
• Experience with performance management and employee oversight
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to problem-solve in fast-paced operational environments
Responsibilities
Operations & Production
• Supervise daily production and vehicle processing operations
• Meet production targets and customer deadlines
• Coordinate staffing schedules and workflow assignments
• Oversee employee performance, attendance, and productivity
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational efficiency
• Resolve operational challenges and customer concerns promptly
Leadership & Reporting
• Supervise and train full-time and temporary employees
• Conduct employee observations and performance discussions
• Prepare production reports and operational updates
• Review work orders, schedules, and productivity metrics
• Support hiring and workforce planning activities
Safety & Compliance
• Promote and enforce workplace safety standards
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and safety incidents
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
• Identify and address unsafe working conditions
