Salary Range: $115,000-$189,758 

Salary ranges listed above represent good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on several factors including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s financial operations and overall fiscal health. This role is responsible for directing all financial functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, compliance, audit, investments, and risk management.

In close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and executive leadership team, the CFO develops and implements forward-looking financial strategies that ensure long-term sustainability, growth, and alignment with the organization’s mission. The CFO oversees organizational budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and transparency of all financial activities.


The CFO translates complex financial data into actionable strategic insights, driving informed decision-making across the organization. This role ensures that financial systems, structures, and practices support innovation, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness. The CFO directly supervises the Director of Finance and finance team, maintaining strong internal operations while fostering an enterprise-wide, forward-thinking perspective. The role also establishes and maintains robust internal controls and ensures the timely preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

As the organization’s primary financial representative, the CFO serves as the key liaison to external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, funders, and investment advisors. The CFO promotes strong cross-departmental collaboration, builds financial capacity among leadership and budget managers, and ensures access to timely, accurate financial information for effective fiscal oversight.

Requirements

  

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities include the following:

· Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on financial planning, organizational growth, and long-term 

  sustainability. 

· Partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s 

  mission, strategic plan, and growth objectives. 

· Lead financial modeling, scenario planning, and risk analysis to inform high impact organizational decisions, including expansion, 

  capital projects, and new program development. 

· Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, ensuring actionable financial insights are embedded across all levels of the 

  organization.

· Serve as the principal financial liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance, Audit, and Investment Committees-fostering strong 

  governance and transparency.  

· Responsible for presenting financial reports, forecasts, and strategic insights to the Board with clarity, accuracy, and transparency. 

· Partner with the Board Treasurer and committee leadership to support and strengthen governance, financial oversight, and policy 

  development. 

· Interface with and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, funders, investment 

  advisors, and regulatory agencies.
