Overview

The Sr. Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing enterprise data to support, evaluate, and implement data solutions necessary for solving business challenges and identifying new business opportunities. The Sr. Data Analyst will work closely with the business, data engineering and business intelligence engineering teams to research and analyze data sources, identify data quality issues requiring resolution, document data definitions, metrics, and KPIs, and support data governance activities.

 

The Sr. Data Analyst will be a subject matter expert on enterprise data, understanding relationships between internal and 3rd party systems. The Sr. Data Analyst will also partner with Business Analysts on source-to-target data mapping documentation and ensuring business, data, and technology requirements are appropriately aligned for the delivery of high-quality and accurate data solutions.

 

This role is expected to work our hybrid schedule out of the Hampton, NH office or future Boston, MA office.

Responsibilities

  • Performs in-depth data analysis across a diverse portfolio of business systems to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and mitigate data quality issues.
  • Collaborates with data and business intelligence engineering teams to support data profiling activities and identify and validate source systems for data solutions, analytics, and reporting.
  • Collaborates with business analysts and various stakeholders to define data requirements for enterprise solutions.
  • Develops and contributes to enterprise process standards to continuously improve quality, while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborates across multiple stakeholders to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate protocols and research related to data quality assurance.
  • Monitors enterprise data warehouse data quality and ensures completeness and accuracy.
  • Documents data governance policies and procedures and maintains enterprise data dictionary.
  • Develops and delivers summarized qualitative findings of data issues using quantitative reporting to management for alignment on proposed recommended actions and remediation steps.
  • Collaborates and partners with and supports a multi-disciplinary global team consisting of data analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Works with business areas to determine and document detailed business needs.
  • Is a change agent, sharing the vision and encouraging others to embrace change.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field, required
  • 8+ years of direct, related experience
  • 5+ years of direct experience analyzing data leveraging SQL, Python, R, or SAS, and data visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, Cognos, PowerBI, Domo, QlikView, etc.
  • 5+ years of direct experience working with data engineering and business intelligence engineering teams
