Quantitative Health Sciences is a multidisciplinary group of biostatisticians, epidemiologists, outcomes researchers, database developers and programmers that conducts translational medical research to improve patient care. Our teams collaborate with clinical investigators on human-based study design and statistical analysis. As a Research Data Scientist II, you will use statistical analysis, machine learning methods, and advanced data technologies to analyze complex datasets and develop predictive models. In this role, you will leverage programming languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, or similar tools to manage, extract, and analyze data from relational databases, supporting research initiatives and data-driven decision-making. You will apply high-performance data architectures and analytical techniques to identify trends, generate insights, and contribute to innovative research projects.
A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques, high performance data architectures and technologies to build algorithms and perform data analytics.
Utilize methods in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AL), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Natural Language Processing (NLP) to design and implement data solutions.
Document best practices and solution frameworks.
Collaborate with team members to develop analytical techniques.
Write advanced SQL queries to extra datasets
Utilize programming skills in R or Python to create and design analyses/models independently
Conduct in-depth data analysis to develop and test hypotheses.
Provide guidance to other team members on building basic models.
Communicate and present analytical findings to other investigators.
Identify innovative technologies available for analytical area.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or a related field and four years of experience conducting data analytics, math or statistical modeling or machine learning
OR Master’s degree and two years of experience conducting data analytics, math or statistical modeling or machine learning
OR PhD in a similar field
Highly proficient programing skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, or similar
