We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to join our team in The Woodlands, TX or Irving, TX. This role is largely remote with limited in-office requirements (e.g., working sessions, conferences, customer travel)

Position Description 

The McKesson Specialty Provider Organization is seeking to add a Sr. Business Analyst to the existing Provider Strategy team.  This role is responsible for supporting our go-to-market and growth initiatives through research and execution initiatives focused on understanding the needs of physicians and patients and coordinating with business leaders to develop solutions that help address these needs.

In this role, this individual will support the businesses in pulling through the enterprise’s broad strategy into the business unit’s reality. Our team conducts projects related to trends analysis, operational & macroeconomic pressures, evaluation of customer needs, geo-market opportunity evaluation and merger & acquisition support to accelerate growth opportunities and optimize our existing businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop market trends reports and analysis that highlight changes in patient care and independently generate insights into how the business should respond to those trends
  • Support evaluation of new technologies, workflows, and organizational structures that can optimize care delivery for patients.
  • Coordinate with clinical leaders to translate strategic priorities into on-the-ground initatives
  • Liaises with the provider sales and account management organizations to identify, scope and manage strategic projects end-to-end (including implementation); maintains responsibility for deliverables and timelines, shifting priorities as needed; manages stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Facilitates the maintenance and development of sales and account management solutions including dashboards, “heatmaps” and market or specialty (Therapeutic Areas) trends
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to streamline, optimize and enhance the efficacy and efficiency of the sales and account management organizations to better meet the needs of our existing and future customers.
  • Support evaluation of inorganic growth opportunities that align with our broader strategic priorities
  • Builds trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization
  • Influences and gains acceptance of others to one’s ideas through effective communication, relevant and insightful analyses, and creative thinking
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of company's products, competition, and broader market dynamics that frame the business context both present and over the next few years
  • Acts as thought partner in strategic discussions even outside of own projects and a business partner with key business leaders

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or related field or equivalent experience

MBA preferred

Critical Skills

  • 3+ years strategy or consulting experience, or relevant industry experience (e.g., finance, strategic marketing, clinical operations). Healthcare industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strategic Thinking: evaluating industry trends, developing long-term implications and recommending pragmatic strategies for new business and account retention opportunities
  • Analytical Rigor: ability to bring structure to ill-defined problems and intellectual leadership to problem solving; synthesize insights from analysis and ensure credible, actionable recommendations
  • Financial Acumen: understanding of financial modeling and experience with financial planning, budgeting and capital allocation in the context of strategic planning to maximize shareholder value
  • Communications skills: ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively especially with senior leadership
