  • Administers company policies, procedures, manuals, and systems to determine and establish appropriate controls.
  • Monitors, reports and plans process improvement or redesign initiatives, and recommends changes.
  • Performs various service and operational duties in support of consumer operations.
  • Provides outstanding customer service efficiently, effectively, and within regulatory guidelines.
  • This role is a mixture of a hybrid and location-dependent position where you will work at our East Providence location known as Santander Way within the area of Small Business and Consumer Operations.

Job Description:

  • Aims to deliver superior service to clients by driving and optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of people, processes, and technology to enhance financial performance, increase investment capacity, and manage risk.
  • Analyzes and reviews data tools, business processes, and operational standards to execute service delivery.
  • Builds sustainable repeatable capabilities that support delivery of the highest standards of service and execution.
  • Researches and monitors the external landscape to identify developments and translate them into operational implications for the company.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's business units.
  • Will evaluate and ensure that operations meet company objectives, business needs, service agreements, and relevant requirements.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Apprises manager of issues and problems relating to regulatory and compliance matters, documentation, and efficiency so corrective action is taken.
  • Assists in the training of the servicing staff team.
  • Conducts timely reconciliations and balancing of departmental G/L accounts.
  • Contributes to effective department workflow.
  • Coordinates and performs monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental reporting.
    Develops, documents, and implements departmental procedures and reports.
  • Ensures effective and timely completion of special projects as assigned.
  • Performs complex account maintenance transactions and modifications.
  • Point person for all account modifications and maintenance activities; including oversight and completion of research requirements.
  • Represents department on cross-functional project teams.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and will resolve complex problems and issues.
  • Reviews, audits, and provides quality control oversight of account data to ensure the accuracy of data entered into the bank's core account system.
  • Works with manager to ensure timely and accurate consumer operations practices.

Education:

  • REQUIRED - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Business, or equivalent field.

Work Experience:

  • REQUIRED - Consumer operations experience, preferably in a lending/banking or financial services environment., 3-5 years.
     

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to deal with customers effectively.
