About the role
Chubb North America Claims seeks a Claims Data Analyst to assist with, and manage the day-to-day recurring weekly, annually, and monthly data projects related to the following lines of business: Personal, Property, Casualty, Automobile, Marine, Professional Liability, Workers’ Compensation and Accident & Health. This position will focus on the collection, cleansing and evaluation/interpretation of data sets for the larger claim organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate independently Chubb NA claim systems, processes, controls, and procedures to improve efficiency in reporting, along with ways to streamline the existing process. Look to utilize existing data sources, along with development of new data sources over time.
- Perform data analysis for the claim organization, utilizing a blend of technical claims handling skills and other technical skills such as data cleansing and statistical analysis.
- Leverage soft skills such as critical thinking and the ability to effectively communicate with IT professionals and claims professionals of various levels.
- Communicate with colleagues and manager on any matters of significance related to changes or enhancements to existing data elements. Develop and provide recommendations and strategies for resolution.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that regulatory changes that may impact the respective data being managed for various lines of business are contemplated in reporting needs. Identify and evaluate gaps, weaknesses, and deficiencies, and elevate issues to management when warranted.
- Engage with variable offshore resources, and dissect complex data sets, as well as work with external and internal teams to data and text mine the required information to meet data quality standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of various dashboards utilized by State regulators, inclusive of New York, Florida, Utah, among others.
- Manage data utilizing excel and Qliq.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to identify “root causes” of compliance deficiencies and respond effectively and efficiently with necessary short and long-term recommendations, solutions and controls.
- Experience with data collection and reporting software.
- Skilled use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong proficiency with excel functions.
- Ability to easily filter and efficiently format large data sets quickly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently execute and deliver in a dynamic and developing environment.
- Strong ability to prioritize and consistently deliver results.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organization.
- Able to work independently, as well as in groups.
- Qliq experience preferred.
- Travel required (15%).
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Entry Level Position, college degree preferred, but not required.
