As an Analyst, Clinical Content Development, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and incorporating CPT-4, HCPCS and /or ICD-10-CM Computer Assisted Coding medical coding rules into the 360 Encompass and CodeAssist Solventum products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value for our customers.

  • Fielding escalations from the Coding Analyst team with requests for Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) development or improvement
  • Analyzing documentation from our customers to determine language patterns for CAC rules
  • Deciding on the required elements for each coding rule and adding language evidence for these rules
  • Using internal web tools to create and edit rules
  • Following rigorous regression testing procedures
  • Collaborate with other Computer Assisted Coding teams to ensure consistency of rules and approaches

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND five (5) years of experience in Outpatient and ProFee coding or auditing (CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM) in a private, public, government or military environment

 OR

High School Diploma/GED AND nine (9) years of experience in Outpatient and ProFee coding or auditing (CPT-4, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM) in a private, public, government or military environment

 

AND

One of the following certifications: CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CHDA

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience writing Computer Assisted Coding rules for CPT-4, HCPCS or ICD-10-CM
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or Nursing
  • Extensive experience with coding audits
  • Experience with outpatient coding (CPT/HCPCS)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of compliant coding
