The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Junior, System Administrator to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award.
This position will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Enterprise Operations in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).
Responsibilities:
Assists in basic IT infrastructure operations and service support for a combatant command, ensuring that systems are following regulations, cybersecurity procedures, and cyber readiness standards
Will assist with the implementation of DoD Information Assurance policies, including physical security, information security, and cybersecurity practices, aiding with dispersed teams with technical support
Supports tasks related to system planning, testing, development, and ongoing operation of IT systems, focusing on supporting the Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) to meet operational needs
Supports USSOUTHCOM communication services and/or DoDIN operations services, as directed
Assists in the execution of IT tasks and assist in the development and delivery of mandatory training programs to support the growth of IT staff skills and knowledge
Supports project management by tracking progress on IT tasks, evaluations, and inspections, helping to ensure alignment with operational requirements and deadlines
Provides basic knowledge of IT systems, such as operating systems, routers, firewalls, and network infrastructure, to assist in troubleshooting and solving system issues
Assists in specialized technical tasks related to data handling systems, network architecture, and infrastructure management, providing support for system optimization and issue resolution
Supports senior staff in team collaboration and sharing knowledge, while ensuring that work adheres to DoD and CCMD standards and procedures
Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
Works is performed under supervision
Qualifications:
Required:
US citizen with active Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
1-3 years of relevant experience
Possesses expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
Desired:
Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise
Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles
