Wage Range: $11.75-12.75/hour

Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

Facilities is seeking applicants for students workers to assist with grounds maintenance, including lawn maintenance, planting and weeding flower beds, planting trees/shrubs, mulching, cleaning, moving equipment and/or events setups, etc.     

Transferable Skills: 

Working on a team 

Grounds maintenance for a large organization/college campus 

Landscaping 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Lawn maintenance (weeding and weed whipping, not mowing) 

Planting and weeding flour beds 

Planting trees/shrubs 

Mulching 

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

Strong work ethic 

Strong time management 

Lawncare and/or landscaping experience and skills 

Physical and Environmental Factors:

This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., and operating hand tools to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, respiratory factors, chemicals, vibrations, extreme heat, and proximity hazards to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
