Location: Hobson Meadows Family Medicine Position: Certified Medical AssistantJob Type: Full-time Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Private practice seeks skilled Certified Medical Assistant experienced in a medical office. Committed to delivering excellence in patient care and patient experience, the Medical Assistant is a valued and respected member of our clinical team. Seeking a candidate who is focused, detail oriented, and has strong organizational skills. Able to multi-task in busy office environment. Excellent communication skills. Able to prioritize information and communicate effectively and efficiently.

Duties:

  • Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting

  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments

  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse

  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers

  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing

  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring

  • Assist with patient education and provide information on medical conditions and treatment plans

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting

  • Proficiency in patient care techniques and procedures

  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

  • Experience with medication administration and basic life support measures

  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recording patient information and administering medications

  • Proficiency in using medical equipment and instruments for examinations and procedures

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Certification:


  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other recognized certifying body
