Position Overview

The Sr Supply Planning Master Scheduler will deliver and drive alignment across the portfolio of products in the areas of supply plan, master schedule and production schedule. This will ensure the operational success and availability of the portfolio of products offered by the Precision Oncology and/or Screening business units. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive planning and production schedule that integrates all activities required to successfully execute ongoing supply, projects and product life cycle. This includes monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, closely monitoring the inputs and outputs of the production process, forecasts, and actuals. This leader will ensure planning systems reflect supply and demand changes to ensure accuracy and the support of the portfolio of commercial products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a product launch, cutover, or project related to a commercial readiness are coordinated and communicated through the supply plan and resulting execution.  Ensuring that product availability is maintained across the portfolio to meet company goals as a business unit and maintain uninterrupted availability is a critical responsibility of this individual.  This will be achieved by establishing connections within operations, the business and other key departments at all assigned sites with product interdependencies.  This role provides clear direction for work in the department and collaborates heavily with logistics, materials management, procurement, production, lab and SAP Business Operations functions to meet the needs of the business’s objectives.

Essential Duties

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and oversee all scheduling and linked planning operations related to products and sites or business unit assigned.
  • Coach and mentor cross functional operational leads in the understanding of the master scheduling and its utility, and criticality to the success of the product portfolio.
  • Review, with the support of cross functional teams, the changes in the demand requirements, supply plan, and forecast to ensure schedules, production orders and testing can be achieved.
  • Develop and manage an integrated master schedule for all projects or operations, considering dependencies, constraints, and resource availability.
  • Regularly update and maintain the master schedule by incorporating changes, updates and adjustments as necessary to represent the complex portfolio of products to cross functional operational teams.
  • Develop, operationalize and prepare reports, analyze data to make decisions, and develop metrics critical to success of operationalized/commercial products.
  • Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and develop mitigation plans with cross functional teams.
  • Determine and communicate commercial product risk because of master schedule and inputs. Communicating them across the organization and recommending appropriate actions and safeguards for implementation in functional teams.
  • Define, measure, and regularly communicate appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the portfolio of products supported.
  • Leverage supply chain KPI’s to identify and champion continuous process improvement projects, quantifying the associated costs and benefits to enable data-driven prioritization of these projects.
  • Translate demand projections provided by the business into a detailed Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) output and present the plan to senior leadership for approval to execute.
  • Develop inventory strategies working closely with the centralized supply chain functions and the areas supported to ensure adequate stocking levels and purchasing plans are in place.
  • Manage/participate in the control of non-conforming material within the company and the Quality Manual System (QMS).
  • Act as critical subject matter expert in the review, proposal, and implementation of improved systems to streamline and improve inventory tracking, management, and accuracy.
  • Ensure the coordination of inventory availability and integration into the planning process for new or retiring programs, studies, and product lines.
  • Monitor, maintain and drive improvement to the data integrity of the Company’s inventory utilizing the ERP system to ensure optimal service to both internal and external cust
