About the Role
We are offering a unique opportunity for a talented and curious business attorney to work at the forefront of the most interesting legal matters in a truly international high-tech environment.
The NXP Legal Department environment is fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative. This role is for a self-motivated and highly-skilled, senior commercial attorney within the Commercial Legal Support team and will provide global legal support primarily for customer-facing matters, including sales contracts and software licensing, with responsibility to independently negotiate complex commercial transactions, advise clients and solve business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Independently drive contract negotiations and draft commercial agreements with customers and suppliers.
Provide legal advice to business partners on a wide range of legal issues, including software licensing, product sales and purchasing.
Provide legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders regarding development and implementation of strategies for software licensing.
Enable business partners to accomplish business goals, while minimizing risk for NXP.
Collaborate with co-workers within the Legal Department and across the company globally.
This is a hybrid position – minimum 3 days per week in the office/ maximum 2 days remote.
Occasional travel.
Experience needed
Fully qualified lawyer with Law degree from an accredited university.
5-10 years of related experience in a law firm or in-house legal department of global corporation.
Experience managing complex commercial transactions, including product sales agreements and purchasing contracts.
Extensive experience negotiating and drafting software license agreements.
Experience leading contract negotiations with parties across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience in-house with an automotive OEM or tier 1 automotive supplier considered a plus.
