Your every day with us:

As the Team Leader, Quality Control, you will be responsible for leading, developing and supporting a multidisciplinary team of professional Quality Control Analysts and Quality Assurance Specialists who champion continuous process improvement initiatives through quality at source practices and establish quality controls and standards. They support and lead initiatives such as calibration working with Operations SMEs (subject matter experts), the monthly SDI (Service Delivery Index) report, ad hoc performance quality controls, defect trending and internal & external audits.

 

You will also:

  • Provide leadership and direction in the day-to-day operation of the team.
  • Analyze individual and team performance.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to management team, perform trend analysis, and anticipate volume fluctuations and impact to service levels.
  • Provide analysis and thought leadership around cost optimization, ensuring expenses are controlled for the department.
  • Responsible for hiring process of new employees.
  • Able to manage remotely a team.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations and other support services teams to achieve corporate and operational targets.
  • Develop relationships and communications with partners through a client experience-based approach.
  • Represent the team at meetings where appropriate and build/maintain relationships within department as well as other business units within the company.
  • Build and maintain critical relationships with Medavie Blue Cross colleagues and customers.    
  • Manage escalated issues by ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up and resolution.    
  • Foster employee engagement by motivating your team and creating a healthy and positive work environment. 
  • Support the career development and learning opportunities of team members.        
  • Analyze and make recommendations and implementing process improvements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to ensure attainment of key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure consistent business practices and processes.


 
What you need to succeed:

  • You are a leader – People value your principles and expertise.
  • You are a good communicator – you are a clear, concise and friendly but know how to communicate to different audiences such as team members, peers, senior management and internal stakeholders.
  • You have earned a post-secondary diploma or degree and/or relevant working experience in business, technology or engineering.
  • You are a problem-solving master, you understand client needs and learn quickly how to get the best results.
  • You are a change champion.
  • You are detailed oriented person, you like the little details with the big picture in mind.
  • You have been successful in roles that involve either detailed analysis, quality assurance or systems management.
  • This role could be a good fit for a curious individual with an analytical / mathematical mind from manufacturing, IT, service industry who wants to improve the lives of employees and members.
  • Bilingualism ( English & French) is a strong asset for this role.
