JOB SUMMARY:

This position must provide; a clean, sanitary comfortable, orderly and satisfying surrounding for

the residents, employees, and visitors. The Janitor must follow the instructions as given for

handling, cleaning, disposing, and moving of objects/materials.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• ? Cleaning of halls, common areas, and vacant units, to include but not limited to, floors,
• walls, doors, bathrooms, grounds, stairwells, windows and appliances as instructed.
• ? Develops property cleaning schedule with supervisor for adequate coverage of buildings
• and grounds.
• ? Maintains appropriate levels of cleaning supply inventory
• ? Maintains cleaning equipment in working order
• ? Post notices as needed.
• ? Work with maintenance and community manager for scheduling of vacant unit cleaning.
• ? Decorate for the holidays including the hanging of decorations.
• ? Assist in community meetings, holiday functions and special resident requests as
• needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• ? Must be able to work assigned hours as scheduled.
• ? Must be able to use cleaning supplies as directed
• ? Must be able to use housekeeping equipment
• ? Must be able to complete tasks in a timely mannner.
• ? Effective verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Employee must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Employee will frequently utilize their fingers, hands and arms 
• Employee will be frequently required to stand or walk
• Employee will be required to bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, lift and kneel
• Employees will be frequently required to stretch and reach
