Summary:
The Graduate Program Ambassador will support efforts to recruit and retain graduate students in the MS Nutrition Education program. This includes communicating with prospective students, preparing a quarterly newsletter, reaching out to other universities and generating content for the website and our social media channels.
Essential Functions:
Prepare a variety of communication materials to be used with prospective students at various stages of their interest in the program.
This will include initial outreach, reminders to complete applications, tips on how to prepare a strong application, etc.
Communications will be distributed via email, text and website.
Communicate with prospective students via email, text and phone to initiate contact, answer questions, schedule interviews, and promote department events.
Provide helpful information for all stages of the application process.
Research other institutions to determine how our program compares to others, what our program offers that other programs do not, and offer ideas for program enhancements.
Provide comparison data to help ensure our program remains competitive in the market.
Conduct outreach to other universities and nutrition networking groups, including: email outreach, posting to discussion forums, and identifying opportunities to promote our program.
The candidate will generate a variety of content for current students, including but not limited to, a quarterly newsletter, job postings, and event notices.
Staying up to date on relevant conferences and news that can be shared with students.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
3-5 hours a week.
Continuation of the program/position is contingent upon external funding.
Salary Range:
$18.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
