Key Responsibilities:FPGA and DSP Design and Development:Design, implement, and optimize FPGA-based digital signal processing algorithms and architectures to meet project requirements.Develop and debug FPGA firmware and DSP software using industry-standard tools and methodologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA and DSP components into larger electronic systems.Hardware Design and Integration:Design and develop hardware platforms and circuitry to support FPGA and DSP implementations.Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of FPGA and DSP components into overall system architecture.Perform board-level design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for FPGA and DSP subsystems.Algorithm Development and Optimization:Develop and optimize signal processing algorithms for FPGA implementation, including filtering, modulation, demodulation, and digital control.Utilize MATLAB or other simulation tools for algorithm prototyping, performance analysis, and verification.Testing and Validation:Develop test plans and procedures for FPGA and DSP subsystems, including functional testing, performance characterization, and validation.Conduct system integration testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and performance.Documentation and Technical Leadership:Prepare design documentation, including specifications, design reviews, and technical reports.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in FPGA and DSP design best practices and methodologies.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in FPGA and DSP design and development, preferably in a relevant industry such as telecommunications, aerospace, or defense.Proficiency in FPGA design tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) and DSP development tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).Experience with VHDL or Verilog programming languages for FPGA design.Strong understanding of digital signal processing concepts and techniques.Knowledge of hardware description languages (HDLs), such as VHDL or Verilog, and experience with FPGA synthesis and implementation tools.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
