About the role
As a Manager of Marketing Analytics, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and analyze marketing performance data in order to measure the effectiveness of various marketing strategies and tactics. You will work closely with other members of the marketing team to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop measurement plans that align with business goals. Your duties will include identifying trends and insights, communicating findings to stakeholders, and making data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement. As part of the marketing operations team, you will also be a key stakeholder in managing and maintaining marketing analytics tools and systems, as well as staying up-to-date with industry best practices and new technologies in order to continually improve the measurement and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing analytics, data analysis, and project management, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide ongoing visibility into key marketing metrics and trends, as well as ad-hoc analysis as needed
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership, through presentations, reports, and other forms of communication
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on specific marketing initiatives to understand performance drivers and opportunities for optimization
- Build forecasting and driver-based models to understand predict future performance
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization, including educating and training other team members on marketing measurement best practices and tools
- Continuously monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, and work with marketing operations, and other internal and external partners to resolve discrepancies
What are we looking for?
- Masters Degree in Marketing, Economics, Analytics desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics or any quantitative discipline required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, with a proven track record of delivering insights and recommendations that drove measurable business impact
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large and complex datasets, including advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and SQL
- Expert knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar
- Proven track record of working within marketing automation platforms and tools such as Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua, or similar, as well as Salesforce and Salesforce reporting tools
- In-depth familiarity with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data and insights into clear and concise reports and presentations
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to question the status quo, test-and-learn and look for continuous improvement opportunities
What will make you stand out?
- 10+ years of B2B and B2C marketing experience
- Strong leader; has managed global demand generation campaigns
- Strong project planner; collaborates well with others at all levels
- Statistical programming experience in R, RStudio
- Expertise in statistical analysis around A/B/multivariate testing, incrementality tests
- Familiarity with multitouch and marketing mix models
- Familiarity with Segment
