About the role

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Grants and Data Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of grant management and data reporting for the Supportive Housing (SH) program. This role will ensure compliance with funding requirements, accurate and timely reporting, and effective data management practices. The position will work closely with program staff, finance, and external partners to ensure the sustainability and growth of the PSH program.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Grant Management: 
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including reporting deadlines and spending guidelines. 
  • Maintain detailed records of all grant activities, including grant proposals, awards, and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure proper allocation of grant funds and accurate financial reporting.
  • Data Reporting:
  • Oversee data collection and reporting processes for the PSH program, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking program performance metrics, client outcomes, and compliance with funder r requirements.
  • Prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, including funders, board members, and government agencies.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, inform program improvements, and support strategic planning.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of client and program data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with program staff to understand data and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with case managers and other team members to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Serve as a liaison with external partners, including funders, auditors, and evaluators.
  • Represent the SH program at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training and technical assistance to program staff on data collection, reporting requirements, and grant compliance.
  • Develop and update training materials, guidelines, and procedures related to grants and data management.
  • Quality Improvement:
  • Continuously review and enhance data management practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and usefulness of data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance program operations.

Qualifications Summary 

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Social Work, Data Analytics, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, and data reporting, preferably in a nonprofit or housing environment. 
  • Strong understanding of Permanent Supportive Housing programs and funding mechanisms, including HUD and other government grants. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and grant proposals. 
  • Proficiency in data management systems, including HMIS (Homeless Management Information System), and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with program evaluation and outcome measurement preferred.
  • Working Conditions:
  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to program sites and external meetings.
