Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology Pancreas Clinic Practice

This Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position involves providing care to adults in our Pancreas Clinic practice within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Provisions of care include, but are not limited to, comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpretation of tests and procedures, and prescription of pharmacologic agents, treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies. The patient population seen includes adult patients with pancreas cysts, tumors, and other pancreas disorders. This position will involve practice with clinicians dedicated to care of patients with pancreas disorders as well as with research staff for clinical trials. The position will have opportunities to participate in clinical research as well as in education of patients and medical professionals.

Nurse Practitioner: Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and APRN license and certification as an ANP or FNP. 

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Position requires DEA registration. BLS certification required. ACLS certification recommended.

Additional Qualifications:

Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
