What you’ll build 

You will help build the next generation of SAP Business AI for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), embedding LLMs, predictive forecasting, agents, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) directly into SAP’s financial core.  

Our vision is to transform FP&A into a decision intelligence‑ hub that unifies data across finance, supply chain, and HR. Through agentic workflows and generative insights, we enable organizations to not only predict the future but to shape it, ensuring that every financial decision is grounded in deep, cross-functional context and global compliance. This AI-native‑ approach turns finance teams into strategic partners who can predict and shape future outcomes. 

As a greenfield initiative, you’ll help define the technical architecture from scratch. Supported by SAP’s latest technologies — Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Business AI — you’ll decide how to combine them into a category defining‑ product. 

You will be part of an Empowered Product Team in close (daily) collaboration with Product Management and User Experience. 

 

Responsibilities 

• You will be the "engineer's engineer", sought out for your ability to solve deep-rooted technical bottlenecks.

• You will focus on the cross-cutting concerns of our large-scale platform, such as multi-tenancy, extreme data concurrency, and system resilience.

• You will provide high-level technical consultancy to multiple teams, ensuring that as our Brno organization grows, our technical debt remains low and our innovation velocity remains high.

• You will design scalable, secure, and high-performing applications, leveraging tools and programming paradigms to write clean, maintainable and efficient code, and conduct code reviews.

• You will develop, test, deploy/deliver, and maintain applications that meet business objectives and user needs, leveraging tools and programming paradigms to write clean, maintainable, well documented and efficient code, and conducting code reviews.

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, and cloud operations) to define, design, and ship new features.

• You will optimize and automate the software delivery process, including automated testing at multiple level, to ensure that reliable software can be delivered frequently.

 

What you bring 

• 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 
• Advanced knowledge in Java, Kotlin or similar backend programming language with relevant frameworks 
• Frontend or web development knowledge is a plus
• Solid software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, Git/GitHub. 
• Fluent English and a collaborative 

 

Nice to have:

• Exposure cloud platforms (Azure ML, Databricks, AWS, or GCP). 
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux. 
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins). 
• Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps and tools like MLflow.
• Experience leading the design and delivery of large-scale features or entire microservices. 
• A track record of solving technical challenges that affect multiple teams or product lines.
