Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior OpenText Developer with deep expertise in enterprise document and Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream, preferably in cloud environments, and understands end-to-end orchestration across data ingestion, document composition, multichannel delivery, and operational monitoring.
This role focuses primarily on OpenText development. Experience with IBM DataStage, particularly in ETL design or support, is a strong plus and enhances the ability to support upstream integrations and enterprise workflows.
What You’ll Do:
• Design, develop, and maintain OpenText Exstream document composition applications in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Support validation and testing related to Command Center migrations and modernization efforts.
• Analyze existing CCM applications and partner with SMEs to assess migration impacts and ensure smooth transitions.
• Develop unit test plans, execute test scripts, and ensure quality and compliance across templates.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable CCM solutions.
• Work with architecture, infrastructure, security, and application teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across document composition, integrations, and orchestration workflows.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code where applicable.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Produce clear technical documentation including design specs and support guides.
What You’ll Bring:
• 7+ years of software development experience, including cloud-based and enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong AWS expertise (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, networking, security).
• Scripting and automation skills (Python preferred) with serverless experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on OpenText Exstream development experience.
• Experience building end-to-end orchestration workflows across upstream and downstream systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and messaging architectures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex, regulated environments.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• 6–10 years of CCM experience with deep proficiency in OpenText Exstream, including template design and multi-channel output (print, web, email, SMS, archive).
• Experience developing and documenting form designs and communication templates.
• Strong background in enterprise client/server application development.
• Ability to provide architectural guidance for Exstream implementations.
• Experience working with diverse data sources and structures in CCM workflows.
• IBM DataStage ETL design, job development, or troubleshooting experience is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience in enterprise document management, financial services, or regulated industries.
• AWS or OpenText certifications.
• Experience creating reusable, standardized DataStage components.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $111,500-$159,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
